Already 1997 Delta of Sweden pioneered the sand category within the activity toys market and is today an innovative materials technology company developing compounds based on proprietary technologies. Focus is on the business area Creative Compounds with modeling compounds for the activity toys, Arts & Crafts, educational and therapeutic markets.
Delta is instrumental in identifying gaps in the market and conceptualising our technologies. New compounds and product concepts are continuously being refined and developed, often in close collaboration with customers to benefit from input from the end markets regarding desired features and specific market segment opportunities.
Product development is not limited solely to the compounds we produce. We also work closely with our licensees regarding packaging options and product delivery systems.
In-house, Delta covers the value chain from R&D and product development to production and finalizing of finished goods, thereby retaining control of the entire production process and technologies used. This setup opens up for short lead times between innovation and production of new prototypes, while retaining control of the know-how. For certain compounds Delta engages production partners strategically localized with respect to the end-market.
The final products are sold under licensees' brands, and our compounds are shipped either as ready-to-sell or bulk products to the licensees and distributors around the globe.
